About the Role
We are a small to medium roofing contractor looking for an experienced Roofing Project Foreman to help lead crews and manage day-to-day jobsite operations. This position is for someone who has strong hands-on roofing experience, understands complete residential and commercial roofing systems, and has the leadership ability to keep crews organized, productive, and on schedule.
The Project Foreman will be responsible for helping jobs run smoothly from start to finish. This includes organizing crews, confirming materials, communicating with customers, coordinating with the office, solving jobsite issues, and maintaining quality workmanship throughout each project.
Responsibilities
- Lead roofing crews on residential and commercial roofing projects.
- Organize crew members, assign daily tasks, and keep the job moving efficiently.
- Make sure crews arrive on time, understand the scope of work, and have the tools and materials needed for the job.
- Install and oversee installation of complete roofing systems, including tear-off, underlayment, ice and water shield, shingles, flashing, ventilation, drip edge, and other roofing components.
- Assist with commercial roofing systems, including low-slope or flat roofing systems, as applicable.
- Review job details, measurements, material lists, and project notes before and during each project.
- Identify roof decking issues, damaged materials, installation concerns, or unexpected jobsite conditions and communicate them to the office or project manager.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property owners, general contractors, vendors, and internal team members.
- Coordinate with the office regarding scheduling, material needs, dumpsters, job progress, delays, change orders, and completion updates.
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Help train and guide installers as needed.
- Monitor workmanship and help maintain company installation standards.
- Take jobsite photos, document progress, and report completed work when required.
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials.
- Help complete final walkthroughs and punch list items.
- Perform other roofing, construction, and jobsite leadership duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous roofing installation experience is required.
- Experience installing complete residential and commercial roofing systems.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, flashing, ventilation, waterproofing, and roof repair practices.
- Previous crew leadership, foreman, supervisor, or jobsite management experience.
- Ability to lead a crew, communicate clearly, and keep work organized.
- Ability to work on pitched roofs, flat roofs, ladders, and elevated surfaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move roofing materials and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills on active jobsites.
- Reliable transportation to job sites or company shop.
- Professional attitude when communicating with customers and team members.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and jobsite organization.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and commercial flat roofing systems.
- Experience with TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, or other commercial roofing systems.
- Ability to read work orders, measurements, material lists, and basic project documents.
- Experience coordinating materials, dumpsters, crews, and daily jobsite logistics.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
- OSHA or other safety training is a plus.

Compensation
Starting pay is $25+/hour, based on experience, leadership ability, and roofing knowledge. Additional growth opportunities may be available for candidates who can manage crews, improve jobsite production, and help train other team members. Bonuses regularly given on jobs well done.
