Our privately owned childcare center and preschool is hiring a fun, enthusiastic, compassionate Lead Infant Teacher to join our team of dedicated teachers. We are located on 5 beautiful acres in Commerce Township. We are seeking a warm, positive, loving, patient individual who loves working with infants and young children. Come join our team!
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, supervise, and implement crafts and daily activities
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, explore, and grow
- Responsible for the appearance of the classroom (i.e. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization)
- Open, daily communication with parents
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have one of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with experience
- At least 90 clock hours of coursework in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, combined with experience
- Minimum 1 year childcare/preschool experience required
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with infant-aged children is preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with infants throughout the day.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
- Ability to effectively communicate with infants, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude
- Must meet State of Michigan requirements for a Lead Teacher position or willing to complete within 6 months of hire. Resources for certification will be provided by Learning Rainbow Preschool.
This position offers full-time employment. Our business hours are 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be available to start at 7am at least 2 to 3 times per week.
