Forestry Water Truck Operator
Summary
Typical shift is Monday-Friday, 730-330, 40 hours per week. Some flexibility with schedule if needed.
Assists Forestry division with watering of newly planted trees. Largely independent work, that requires ability to follow map/develop efficient routes to water trees planted in outlawns and parks throughout the City. Will be primarily driving a one-ton pickup with a 400-gallon water tank. Roadside work in a variety of outdoor conditions. Will be responsible for refueling of vehicles/machines (safe and proper handling of diesel, 2-stroke, unleaded, etc).
Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Able to handle physically demanding work and exposure to the elements on a daily basis.

Valid driver's license with good driving record (for jobs that include driving).

Must pass a physical; drug screen and criminal background check.

May be required to pass a DOT physical if position requires operating a CMV-rated vehicle.
