Machine Operator - 1st Shift
Location: 1250 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315
Pay: $19.50-$21.50/hour (based on experience)

- Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, starting at 5:00 AM. Employees must be available to work 40-58 hours per week based on production needs. Frequent mandatory overtime is required, including extending weekday shifts up to 10 hours (ending at 3:30 PM) and occasional Saturdays. Weekly schedules are provided every Thursday for the following workweek.

Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Machine Operator performs a variety of manufacturing functions by operating equipment such as robotic welders, benders, and brake presses to produce quality steel and aluminum parts according to work order specifications. Duties may vary depending on the assigned department and production demands.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment, including robotic welders, benders, and brake presses
- Manufacture steel and aluminum parts according to work order specifications
- Review work orders and produce parts accurately and efficiently
- Complete production orders on time while meeting quality standards
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Use the ERP system to clock in/out and maintain work orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Functional computer skills to clock in/out and complete basic ERP transactions
- Working knowledge of general hand tools, including drills and grinders
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating metal fabrication equipment such as robotic welders, benders, brake presses, or similar manufacturing machinery
