Welder (MIG/TIG/Braze) - 1st Shift

Pay: $20.00-$28.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Welder performs a variety of welding functions using MIG, TIG, and Braze welding processes to manufacture high-quality steel and aluminum chairs and components according to work order specifications. Duties may vary depending on the assigned department and production demands.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review work orders and verify product specifications
- Select the correct fixtures for each work order
- Weld chair components using MIG, TIG, and Braze welding processes
- Weld materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys
- Complete first-piece inspections and perform buddy checks according to company procedures
- Produce quality parts while meeting production standards
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on welding equipment
- Use the ERP system to clock in/out and maintain work orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 6 months of welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience welding C-25 MIG thin-wall tubing with minimal weld splatter using a MillerMatic 251 or comparable equipment
- Functional knowledge of hand tools, including grinders and drills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully complete an in-person Weld Performance Test prior to employment
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Welding certificate or technical training
Sign-On Bonus Eligibility
To qualify for the $500 Sign-On Bonus, applicants must:
- Be hired between July 20 and September 14
- Successfully pass the required Weld Performance Test before employment
- Meet attendance and performance expectations:
- No more than 1 attendance point during the first 30 days
- No more than 2 total attendance points by 90 days
