Laboratory Technician Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to support quality and laboratory operations in a manufacturing environment producing products such as toilet bowl cleaners, bleach, and dry pool tablets. This role is responsible for collecting and testing production and water samples, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and GMP requirements. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and committed to continuous learning and development. Schedule Initial operation will support 1st and 2nd shifts Planned transition to a 3-shift operation within the first year Training will be conducted on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) for approximately 2 weeks to 1 month Current openings: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Responsibilities Collect production samples from manufacturing lines every 3 hours Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products Conduct analyses including: Moisture testing pH testing Viscosity testing Basic microbiological and rapid testing methods Collect and analyze water samples as required Utilize FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) equipment for testing and analysis Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and laboratory procedures Communicate quality concerns and deviations to appropriate personnel Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development activities Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred Minimum 1 year of chemistry laboratory experience preferred Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) (highly important) Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to take initiative and proactively solve problems Desire to continually learn, develop, and expand technical skills Comfortable collecting samples from manufacturing lines and production areas Preferred Experience with FTIR instrumentation Experience in a manufacturing, consumer products, chemical, or quality laboratory environment Exposure to microbiological testing methods Recent graduates with relevant laboratory coursework, internships, or research experience are encouraged to apply Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment Ability to stand, walk, and collect samples throughout the facility Ability to lift sample containers and laboratory materials as needed PPE requirements, including steel-toe footwear, will be determined based on facility safety requirements Key Traits for Success Self-directed and dependable Strong sense of ownership and accountability Takes initiative without waiting for direction Adaptable in a growing operation Committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement Eager to learn and grow within the organization

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
