Position Summary
Responsible for packing and shipping safely and securely the Company's outgoing deliveries, including merchandise, machines, and parts, in the warehouse and dispatch environment.
Furthermore, this position is responsible for working with receiving and management to unload incoming material and store it in the proper locations.
Primary Responsibilities
Receive Shipping Requests from Project Coordinators, Bench Hands, etc., and double-check them (quantity, quality, item numbers, prints, certs) against the product that is shipping.
Prepare product to be safely shipped to customer/vendor.
Coordinate with the International Shipping Clerk regarding shipments going out of the country.
Collect and process product orders.
Quality check products while picking and packing.
Verify orders are accurately filled.
Ensure correct packing techniques for outgoing merchandise.
Print shipment labels where necessary.
Ensure shipments are properly identified and labeled.
Check delivery drivers in and out throughout the day.
Ensure shipments are properly loaded into delivery and transport vehicles.
Respond to customer and management requests and concerns.
Maintain your work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Manage reasonable levels of material required for shipping various products.
Comply with all OSHA/MIOSHA regulations and Company policies.
Adhere to the standard operating procedures.
Load and unload trucks, when necessary, with Hi-Lo.
All other duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities as Required
Create shippers through Made2Manage.
Assist Maintenance when necessary.
Assist Marking Department when necessary.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
2-3 years of forklift experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational and coordinating skills.
Detail-oriented
Basic carpentry is preferred.
Physical/mechanical aptitude is recommended.
Microsoft Office Suite is recommended.
Working Conditions: Manufacturing facility
Physical Demands:
Frequently moves and lifts boxes, crates and raw materials weighing up to 30 pounds across the manufacturing facility for various needs.
Sitting on a forklift in a stationary position 15% of the time.
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, walking, twisting, and stooping during a fully scheduled shift.
