GENERAL SUMMARY
A career as a 9-1-1 telecommunicator is a rewarding and challenging way to serve the citizens of Isabella County. They serve as the communities’ support system, available 24 hours a day 7 days a week that works to those in need. Gathers prudent information to organize and dispatch the correct fire, rescue, ambulance or police agency. Telecommunicators operate communications equipment, answer emergency and non-emergency calls from the general public, and dispatch the appropriate police, fire, and EMS units. Communications personnel work 12-hour shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Employment Status: Full-time.
Hourly Wage Range:$21.08 to $25.55 (Annually $47,142.48 to $57,132.04)
