Counselor/Student Learning Advocate
The Ontonagon School District is looking for a Counselor/Student Learning Advocate who will be a leader in our school. The position is a fast paced position. This position will focus on School Wide SEL and PBIS implementation and support of student academic counseling. The goal of the position is to work with students and families to help students be successful in the classroom. The position will work in collaboration with the school social worker, the Superintendent, Assistant Principal, and staff focused to support students in K-12 who need support to continue to be on track for graduation. The position will also act as the school's assessment coordinator. A full job description is attached.
Requirements:
- K-12 Counselor License
- Training in Universal Behavior Practices
- Background in working with at risk students
