Position: Plastic Injection Mold Operator

Location: Fraser, MI

Pay: $16.00 an hour, Contract to direct hire!

Shift:

• 1st (6:30am – 6:30pm) Monday through Thursday with opportunity for OT!

Position Summary:

The Plastic Injection Mold Operator is responsible for monitoring the performance of plastic injection mold machines to ensure parts are produced according to customer quality standards, on schedule, and with the highest level of safety and efficiency. This position focuses on producing defect-free parts and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Position Responsibilities of the Injection Mold Operator:

• Ensure the quality of parts produced, striving for zero defects.
• Monitor material levels within assigned work cells.
• Assist the Production Quality Lead in training new team members.
• Inspect finished parts per operator instruction sheets and control plans.
• Trim gates and flash as required.
• Pack parts according to operator instruction sheets and control plans.
• Attach correct barcoded shipping labels to containers, including date, shift, and name ensuring the label matches the part being produced.
• Notify the Supervisor or Production Quality Lead of any issues.
• Log all required information into the traceability logbook.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace; remove excess parts from the floor.
• Follow all company safety procedures and standards.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math and calculator skills.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and twisting for 8–12 hour shifts.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold environments, with facility temperatures reaching up to 90°F.
• Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
