POSITION TITLE: Electrical Hardware Engineering Manager

JOB SITE LOCATION: One Village Center Drive, Van Buren Township, MI 48111
DUTIES: Visteon Corporation seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineering Manager based out of our office at One Village Center Drive, Van Buren Twp, MI 48111. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 5%, including two annual trips to Visteon Mexico.
Designs and develops electronic circuits for the automotive industry, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering. May use computer- assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs. Manages technical aspects of projects according that need to meet program timing. interfaces with systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing groups to ensure quality design of final product.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Seven (7) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in an Electrical Engineering position. Experience must include: Experience leading hardware engineering teams in the automotive domain; experience with Battery Management Systems and cockpit electronics design and development; experience with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and automotive cybersecurity standards; experience with customer support with automotive OEMs; and experience defining hardware development cycles, managing schedules & allocating resources to meet project goals.
