Our client, a leader in manufacturing, is seeking an External Thread Grind Operator to join their team. As an External Thread Grind Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting quality assurance and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: External Thread Grind Operator
Location: Traverse City, MI
Pay Range: $22-26/hr, +$2/hr shift premium for 2nd shift
Shift: 1st (6:00am - 2:30pm) and 2nd (2:30pm - 11:00pm)
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate CNC thread grinding machines to produce high-precision components
- Produce parts that meet strict quality and tolerance specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to ensure continuous operation
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
