Define, design, and develop software architecture to implement user requirements for the semiconductor industry. Analyze requirements and ensure the systematic conversion of customer/program requirements into a usable application or system. Specifically, develop smarter wafer defect inspection tools or systems that help manufacture high-performance chips. Break the overall software application architecture down into smaller subsystems and allocates requirements accordingly. Responsible for adherence to applicable standards that govern the software development process, entailing proper design, development, integration, testing, and modification of software. Identify software solutions and improve system performance that drive progress. Assimilate software design concepts and translate them into defined, software requirements. Utilize software technologies and languages effectively to apply in current generation products and in next generation applications. Salary range: $110,214 - $141,100 per year.
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Position requires experience or education in the following skills:
- Configuring, operating, and maintaining technical computing, network, cloud-based, and storage resources;
- HPC cluster systems including scalable/robust storage, high-bandwidth inter-connects, CPU / GPU architecture, and cloud-based computing architectures;
- Performing system builds, building infiniband networks, deploying system software, performing software integrations, deploying and administering slurm schedulers and configurations, deploying and administering fastx systems, working with vendor technical resources, and monitoring server, network, and storage performance;
- Operating system or complex sub-systems of the operating system, such as parallel file systems, file management routines, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages;
- Managing copper and fiber networks and supporting the administration of the on-premise and cloud-based virtual machine environment;
- Defining logic, coding, testing, and debugging programs; and
