Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full time Employee Services Assistant position with the Labor Relations/Employee Services Office.
JOB DUTIES: This position completes a variety of administrative support, bookkeeping and clerical duties regarding personnel matters for the LRES Office. In addition, the position assists in various LRES programs in the areas of health enhancement, employee recognition, benefits and performance evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individual must have a High School degree or equivalent, two years post high school education (48 credits) involving course work in secretarial or administrative sciences plus three years work experience in an office environment, however an alternative combination of education and experience that allows the individual to perform the essential duties will be considered. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, have good computer, typing and 10-key skills, have the ability to initiate, plan and complete projects and programs, and be comfortable with working independently. A candidate that enjoys planning and coordinating health and wellness programs is strongly preferred but no previous experience in this area is required.
WAGES AND BENEFITS: Starting 2026 wage rate of $25.79 to $27.27 per hour plus excellent benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement benefits, affordable health insurance and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a ½ hour unpaid lunch.
