Role Overview: We are looking for an Installation Technician who is good-natured, motivated, and has a reason to come to work. This person would also need to be reliable, arrive on time, and want to be part of a growing company that is going places. Goal-oriented employees will find advancement opportunities. In this role, you’ll be working hands-on, performing installations and diagnostics, while ensuring a high level of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Refer to schematics and specifications that show connections and provide instructions on how to locate problems.
Install and wire dash panels.
Install fixtures, outlets, terminal boards, switches, and wall boxes, using hand tools.
Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual, inspections, testing devices, and computer software.
Install new fuses, electrical cables, or power sources as required.
Install and wire sensitive marine electronics.
Perform basic 12V electrical diagnostics.
Measure, cut, and install frameworks and conduit to support and connect wiring, control panels, and junction boxes, using hand tools
Route, secure, and connect hydraulic steering lines.
Install cockpit hardtops.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Knowledge of proper wire gauge selection and safety practices.
- Proficiency in analyzing, problem-solving, and repairing 12-volt issues.
- Capability to strip and properly crimp wires.
- Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.
- Knowledge of screw types and sizes.
- Able to perform basic hydraulic connections.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of fiberglass techniques is a plus.
Safety Requirements:
- Physically able to perform lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
Tool Requirements:
- Must possess a cordless drill set and basic hand tools.
