Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and energetic Quality Inspector specializing in precision machined parts to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured components meet strict quality standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for excellence in aerospace and defense manufacturing by conducting detailed inspections, utilizing advanced measurement tools, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to verify compliance with design specifications.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to assess part accuracy and functionality.
- Collect data on inspection results accurately for traceability and quality analysis purposes.
- Support calibration of measuring instruments to maintain measurement accuracy.
- Manual inspection set-ups.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience in inspecting precision machined parts within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors.
- Previous experience in a customer DSQAR role, trade school, FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection), or gage calibration a bonus.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents confidently.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques (in-process).
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, vision systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Systems.
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for dimensional measurements and quality data collection.
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to machining of superalloys and complex components (e.g. turning, milling, EDM).

Schedule:
- Company offers choice of schedule between 4 day/ 10 hour (Monday-Thursday) or traditional 5 day/ 8 hours (Monday-Friday).
- Over-time available.

- Must be able to pass a shop math exam and pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
