Must have a U.S. Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field. In lieu of the U.S. Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), employer will accept one year of undergraduate study in any field and twelve (12) years of progressive experience in a manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or quality engineering as equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field as determined by a reliable credentials evaluation service. In addition to the U.S. Bachelor’s degree, must also have three (3) years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer or similar occupation. The three (3) years of experience must include experience performing all of the following duties: conducting auditing & implementing processes for IATF and VDA 6.3 requirements to ensure compliance; utilizing quality methods and tools FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and gateway release process; releasing and optimizing processes through a QMS (Quality Management System) – system development and maintenance; conducting fit/gap analysis for quality and automotive manufacturing processes Quality management processes; and using 5-whys, fishbone, 8D, Red X, DOE problem solving methodologies.
This position will involve telecommuting with a minimum of 3 days/week required in-office, as business needs dictate.
5% international and domestic travel required to Kentucky and Mexico.
This position will supervise 3 direct reports who hold the titles of WPS Specialist, ME Specialist PMT Plant, and WPS Intern.
