Job Details

Provide mechanical support to the process engineering team.  To work as a team when accomplishing this goal.  Candidate could be the leader of this group or could be a member taking direction from other employees.  Work will include setting up development trials assisting in research, maintaining process equipment, start-ups, and customer interface.

• Set-up and assist in the operation of customer development trials.
• Assist in research and development work to improve an existing process, develop new process or improve machine functionality.
• Maintain all process equipment in good working order.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Consult with other departments as required to accomplish the task at hand.
• Provide mechanical advice and direction to other engineers, departments, suppliers and customer as required.
• Represent the company professionally and ethically while performing duties at work and in the field.
• Act as a team leader when given a large project.
• Travel for the company as required.
• Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical ability using fractions, decimals, percentage, proportions, circumference and volume.
• Ability to hear and communicate in a frequently noisy environment.
• Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and present information to groups
• Ability to define problems and to deal with and solve them practically.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic understanding of electricity including 480 volts
