Job Title: Logistics (Air Charter) Coordinator
Job Description
This role focuses on coordinating time-sensitive air charter shipments for manufacturing customers, ensuring critical freight moves quickly and accurately from origin to destination. You will act as a key liaison between customers and air carriers, providing responsive customer service, managing shipment details in internal systems, and resolving issues in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage air charter shipments from initiation through completion, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
Evaluate customer needs and determine the most effective transportation solution based on timing, cost, and service requirements.
Enter, update, and maintain accurate shipment details in internal systems in real time.
Communicate pricing, timing, and logistics details clearly and professionally to customers.
Coordinate with air carriers and other service providers to secure capacity and confirm shipment arrangements.
Monitor shipment progress continuously and proactively address any delays, disruptions, or exceptions.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry requirements for shipping documentation and procedures.
Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation and audit shipment records for accuracy and completeness.
Document all shipment activity accurately and in real time to maintain a clear record of each move.
Escalate issues internally and externally as needed to ensure service success and customer satisfaction.
Provide responsive customer service and support throughout the shipment lifecycle, acting as the primary point of contact.
Work with a strong sense of urgency to support time-critical freight for automotive and manufacturing customers.
Essential Skills
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
Ability to pass a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
Customer service and customer support experience.
Data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
Ability to move with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining quality.
TSA-safe eligibility as required for the role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or supply chain is preferred.
Experience working in a high-volume call or operations environment is an advantage.
Exposure to air charter or expedited freight operations is beneficial.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or coordinating time-sensitive operations is preferred.
Basic geography knowledge of major cities and regions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Ability to stay calm, composed, and adaptable during high-pressure situations.
Strong administrative skills and comfort working in structured processes and systems.
Work Environment
The work involves consistent phone and computer use in a collaborative operations setting that supports critical freight for automotive and manufacturing customers. Available schedules include one opening on Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and two openings on Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Shift premiums apply for certain hours and weekend work, and overtime may be available with supervisory approval, in line with company policies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
