Job Title: Heavy Equipment Foreman
Job Description
Join a reputable excavation company located in South West Grand Rapids, specializing in earthwork, subdivision planning, commercial sites, and other land development projects. As a Heavy Equipment Foreman, you will manage a crew of up to five individuals and utilize your expertise in operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, and other related machinery. This full-time position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in grading for sewer, water, and drainage pipe, along with a comprehensive understanding of project timelines. A CDL is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise a crew of up to five individuals.
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and skid steers.
Plan and execute site development and excavation projects.
Ensure grading for sewer, water, and drainage pipe adheres to project timelines.
Provide training and mentorship to less experienced crew members.

Work Environment
This role operates on the 1st shift from approximately 6 AM/7 AM to 5 PM or later, depending on workload. Summer months offer opportunities for extended hours and potential Saturday shifts. Start your day either at the shop or directly at the job site. Experienced candidates may receive a company vehicle. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
