Job Description
Responsible for all purchasing pre and post launch activity focusing on the program team, supplier and customer requirements integrating data/quote management, contract negotiations, tool timing, CR/CN process flow, Profile management, complete launch readiness, etc.
Responsibilities
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Directcommodity buying responsibilityas well as directly providing leadership within the group
Extensive work experience and judgmentrequiredto plan andaccomplishstrategic goals
Negotiates long term agreementsand yearly savings in line with expectations
Develops commodity strategies to achieve results
Understanding of commercial terms and total cost management conceptsrequired
Experience Requirements
Extensive work experience, discipline, and independence to drive successful closure of Purchasing goals
Strong negotiating principles and skills
Minimum of 5 years of commodity or relevant purchasing experience
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or equivalent experience
Ability to align with and influence internal program teams, suppliers, and customers
Ensures accurate data management to meet program timelines
Familiarity with commercial terms and performancetotarget concepts
Resultsdriven and proactive approach from program inception through launch
Communication verbal and written and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lead within a team
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
High level of integrity
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Priority setting and timemanagement excellence
Actionoriented and produces results
Ability to work effectively in a highly productive, fastchanging environment
Superior conflictresolution skills while maintaining strong relationships
Independent workload prioritization, focusing on the most critical and impactful activities

MBA
Automotive cross-functional experience is recommended
