Responsible for managing engineering and technical aspects of energy efficiency and environmental programs; oversee development and review of engineering calculations and energy conservation measure (ECM) analyses; supervise and mentor engineering staff; ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, Technical Reference Manuals (TRMs), and regulatory requirements; develop and review program performance tracking methodologies; utilize engineering calculations, energy modeling, technical analysis, energy and environmental research, data analysis, technical and regulatory document preparation, energy audits, energy conservation measures (ECMs), and cross-functional team collaboration to perform duties; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support program implementation; review technical reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness; support budgeting and performance metrics; and provide engineering oversight for multi-state program operations.
Location: Detroit, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $130,250 per year;
Education: Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Junior Research Fellow, as a Project Associate, as a Strategy Energy Engineer, as a Student E-Challenge Energy Analyst, as a Sustainability Research Analyst, or in a related occupation;
