Support execution of the company’s strategic and tactical plans design engineering program. Plan, coordinate and supervise CAD activities for multiple engineering projects. Create 2D drawings and 3D models. Follow regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance. Review and report project status to department management and design teams. Work with program project staff (engineering and sales) and customer engineers to ensure goals are met, schedules are maintained and problems are resolved. Support R&D , quality control and product modification and improvement activities. Support design and development activities to improve, modify or design new products. Define, generate and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&t) for 2- and 3-D drafting. Prepare complete layouts for product designs and modifications. Determine scale, perform complex mathematical calculations and prepare layouts for detailing. May work remotely within normal commuting distance of Farmington Hills, MI.
