Our client, the metal recycling industry, is seeking a General Laborers to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be part of the operations supporting the recycling process. The ideal candidate will have reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: General Laborer
Location: Belleville, MI
Pay Range:
Shift:
Day Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
Typical schedule: Monday - Thursday
Occasional Fridays required based on production
Must be flexible to work 10-12 hour shifts and up to 5 days/week
IMPORTANT:
Candidates must be flexible to work either AM or PM shift based on business needs
What's the Job?
Sort and pick unusable scrap materials from conveyor systems
Remove non-conforming materials to ensure proper processing
Shovel scrap material into bins for recycling operations
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Assist with basic maintenance of plant equipment
What's Needed?
No prior experience required (industrial or recycling experience is a plus)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the shift
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Strong attendance and reliability
Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
Work Environment
Candidates must be comfortable working in:
Indoor & outdoor conditions
Dirty, dusty, wet, and muddy environments
Heavy industrial recycling setting
Exposure to varying weather conditions
