The Service and Installation Engineer will support the installation and service of robots and robotic systems, primarily for paint and sealer applications, by providing technical assistance to customers and taking on responsibility for setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing of robots and peripheral devices.The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, problem-solver with a "service first" mindset who has experience with FANUC technology (paint and/or sealer systems) and is skilled in troubleshooting technical issues.
Install, startup and debug of the system/unit being installed, mainly paint and sealer applications; support the installation through buyoff and customer acceptance.
Provide timely updates back to FAC, including any incidental service issues that may arise during installation.
Provide prompt, professional, and courteous solutions to customer problems.
Troubleshoot problems and secure any needed parts as needed.
Repair, maintain, rework, or retrofit of product and equipment.
Complete timely documentation and reports (Installation and Service reports, SVMs, Punch list, FSR's, MIR's, Expense, and Time Reports)
Provide technical support to various parts of FAC including Hotline, training segments, and training of Associate Service Engineers.
Coordinate responsibilities, activities, parts, and schedule with Service Supervisor/Project Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, proper billing, and completion of service calls or project.
Follow Engineering guidelines and other standardized procedures to comply with the product specifications, laws and regulations.Procure supplies, tooling and associated installation equipment.
Travel to customer sites as required (~80%).
What You Need
Associate's Degree or equivalent technical education; or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of three years of experience working in a related environment with robotics integration, installation, or service repairs.
Experience with analyzing and solving service and robot installation problems.
Proven experience performing intricate repairs on mechanical and electrical items.
Ability to successfully work in a highly autonomous environment.
A valid driver's license is required due to the travel required in this role.
