Survey Technician - Entry-Level Opportunity

What You'll Be Doing
Collecting field measurements using modern survey equipment.
Assisting with locating and documenting utilities such as water, sewer, storm, electrical, and communication lines.
Working directly on a large construction project alongside experienced survey professionals.
Recording field data and helping organize project documentation.
Uploading and transferring information for project reporting.
Performing basic quality checks to ensure information is accurate.
Communicating with survey crews, construction teams, and project managers.
Learning how survey data is used to support engineering and construction projects.
Helping maintain survey equipment and ensuring it remains in good working condition.
What They're Looking For
Interest in surveying, construction, engineering, or outdoor work.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Comfortable working independently while following direction from experienced team members.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license.
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
Any experience working in construction, engineering, landscaping, utilities, or other outdoor field environments.
Exposure to GPS equipment, surveying, CAD, or engineering technology.
Interest in growing into future Survey Technician or Crew Chief roles.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
