FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-time, 20-25 hours weekly
GENERAL SUMMARY
Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw is seeking a motivated, organized, and relationship-focused Development Coordinator to support the organization’s fundraising, administrative, and executive operations. This position will serve as a key support role for the Executive Director by helping manage day-to-day priorities, strengthen donor and sponsor relationships, coordinate board materials, and assist with fundraising and grant efforts.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing relationship-building with behind-the-scenes organization. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a nonprofit environment and wants to contribute meaningfully to the mission of supporting families during medical crises.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fund Development & Donor Relations
- Assist with donor communications and outreach
- Support donor stewardship efforts including thank-you letters, follow-up, and relationship tracking
- Help identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorship opportunities
- Maintain donor and sponsorship records and databases
- Assist with fundraising campaigns and special events
- Support donor engagement efforts and partner relationships
Grant Support
- Research and identify grant opportunities
- Assist with grant applications and supporting documentation
- Help track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and outcomes
- Coordinate collection of data and information needed for proposals and reports
Executive Support
- Assist the Executive Director by managing and completing priority projects and administrative tasks
- Help manage communications and follow-up tasks
- Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden
- Prepare board meeting packets and materials
- Create invoices and maintain administrative records
- Organize electronic and physical files as needed
- Support general office and operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Associate’s Degree or at least two years of relevant work experience preferred
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED
Experience
- Experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, customer service, communications, or related fields preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems
- Grant writing or grant support experience
- Event coordination experience
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and sponsorship development
Technical Skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace, or ability to become proficient in three (3) months.
- Comfortable using online forms and electronic documentation systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and basic mathematical proficiency
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong data management and recordkeeping abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
- Comfortable communicating professionally with donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and diverse populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in all interactions

- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced nonprofit environment and manage changing priorities
- Regular and reliable on site attendance is required
