Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Locate appropriate containers (boxes) from the routing for each product to be shipped.
Pack finished goods coming from various departments (press room, welding, solder, washroom, kick press, shearing) to ready for shipments or to stock.
Weigh and pack finished goods to ready for shipments or to stock.
Collect finished goods from stock area to ready for shipments.
Utilize the MAPICS system to find finished goods in the stock area.
Key in correct data into UPS and FEDEX computers for labels for shipments for printing by shipping clerk.
Enter data into a calculator to collect correct data to enter into the data collection keypads.
Read and understand Pick Slips to access information on the day's shipments to determine shipments due that day.
Utilize the scales to count correct number of parts within cartons or to fill cartons.
Read and understand routing to pack correct amounts of finished goods into the correct cartons.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

Additional Requirements

Mathematical Skills: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
