Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) and 8 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations. Alternatively, this position requires a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations. Requires 8 years of experience (or 5 with a Master’s) in each of the following: Analyzing costs associated with materials, components, and manufacturing processes used in the Automotive industry to identify areas for improvement; Working with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, procurement and sales, to implement VAVE initiatives; Analyzing existing designs, schematics, system block diagram and identifying opportunities for optimization to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness based on customer requirements; Leveraging project management methodologies to effectively plan, organize, set objectives, timelines and milestones, and execute VAVE projects within time constraints across automotive products. Must also have 5 years of experience working with: value engineering techniques, including function analysis, creative thinking methods, benchmarking, and brainstorming, and decision matrices to generate innovative solutions that deliver maximum value; product lifecycle in the automotive industry from RFQ/RFI to SOP and integrating VAVE practices throughout each stage to continuously improve product value and reduce lifecycle costs.
