We are seeking a dependable and organized individual to join our team as a Mail and Records Courier. This role involves the efficient and secure transportation of mail, documents, supplies and records between various locations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring timely delivery and confidentiality of materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely collect and deliver supplies, documents and records to designated locations within specified timeline.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive documents and records during transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as necessary
- Communicate effectively with supervisor to coordinate deliveries and pick-ups.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and confidentiality guidelines.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to report questions and concerns to proper supervisor. Ability to organize, prioritize, and have time management skills. Ability to prioritize reliability, integrity and teamwork in all aspects of mail and records courier services, ensuring seamless communication within our organization
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be in good physical and mental health. Must have ability to cope with physical and mental stress. Frequently moves and transports a box or more back and forth between two offices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Potential exposure to fumes, dust gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable disease. Awareness of exposure as a high-risk environment. Must be able to rotate among all Great Lakes Eye Care office locations.
