Join a high-impact Qualification Testing team focused on validating next-generation battery electric (BEV) and internal combustion (ICE) powertrain systems. In this role, you will identify, analyze, and isolate software and system issues across propulsion control systems, ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality vehicle software. You will work in a fast-paced engineering environment, collaborating across teams to validate cutting-edge vehicle technologies using both virtual and real-world testing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) aligned with engineering and regulatory requirements
Develop and validate test strategies across vehicle and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments
Perform propulsion ECU and subsystem validation for both BEV and ICE architectures
Analyze technical standards and documentation to support test development and execution
Conduct root cause analysis and issue pre-analysis to identify software and system defects
Identify edge cases and failure scenarios to ensure robust system validation
Execute validation testing using HIL systems, simulation tools, and in-vehicle testing
Collaborate cross-functionally to support debugging, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Provide technical expertise, guidance, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or System Engineering or related degree field
A minimum of 5 years of experience
Fundamental knowledge of ICE and Electric automotive architecture
Embedded software development background
Analytical & interdisciplinary thinking, problem solving skills
Self-motivated and drive for results

Self-reliant, well-structured and organized working style
Good communication skills and the ability to interface with internal stakeholders
Good team working skills in an international environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering
Experience with HIL Hardware in the loop Simulator (dSPACE) HW and SW test environment including Plant Models, Harnesses, Load boxes, FIUs, Controllers etc.
Experience with ALM tools such as but not limited to: DOORs, PTC Integrity, Rational Quality Manager (RQM), Rational Team Center (RTC) etc.
Knowledgeable in CARB OBD and Federal Diagnostic requirements
Experience with vehicle testing
Knowledge of agile methodology to support/develop the daily activities
Knowledge of Automotive Network Communication (CAN, LIN...)
Knowledge of SW analysis tool for electronic control unit/network (CANalyzer - Vector, INCA, etc.)
Knowledge in model-based development with e.g. Matlab/Simulink
Familiarity of Automotive Product Development V-Cycle
