ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Wind RiverCloudPlatformProduct Managementteam ispart oftheWind RiverProductorganization.Thisteam isresponsible forour private cloudproduct, automation/orchestration and analyticswhich is the fastest growing part ofthecorporationservingour customerswithcloud native intelligent systemsfrom the far edge tofull data centers!The team you willbe part ofis pivotal totheexpectedgrowth of the companyover the comingyears.
This roleis critical tothe success of our team as we continue to grow and requireincreased level ofcustomer engagement tohelp drive product adoption, create our roadmapand manage customer expectations.
Interface & Collaboration
The role reports directlytotheVice President of Product Managementforthe Wind River Cloud Platform product team.Success requires hands-on leadership, engaging and enrolling multiple teams across product management, engineering,pre-sales , sales, professional services, marketing,partnersand customerstowin new customers in this new and fast pace environment.Your closest collaborators will be your product management teammatesandthe global sales team.
This roleserves asakey customer engagement role for product management.This is a customer facing role toevangelize the Wind RiverCloud Platform, gather market requirements for existing and new customeropportunities, value prop creation, RFP responsestrategy, roadmap presentations,assess and evaluaterevenue opportunities andannual revenue plans, and manage customer escalations.
In your daily job you will:
Product Management engaging customers & sales teamsresponsible forRFP responsestrategy, product/portfolio updates, roadmap/commitment communication,feature prioritization,price setting,escalations, etc.
Work closely with specific Product LineManagers and the global sales teams to ensure roadmaps and feature requirements are aligned to meet market demand.
Customer Requirement discoveryand gathering.
Drive customer progress ofproduct adoption andsales plans
Business development, market assessment, ideation and adoption.
Formal roadmapcommunicationto global sales teams and customers.
Product Collateralcreationandcommunication. The focus will beensuring ourproducthas the appropriate collateralin place and made available to our globalsalesteams toaidin the sales and pre-salesactivities. Examples would beproductdescriptions, product presentationsforCxoand deeper dives,and special customer requested presentations,etc.
Assessment ofprivate cloudbusiness sales ona customer bycustomer level. Assessingrevenuetargets andunderstandingprogressagainstthe annual plan.
Understand and evangelize thecompetitive advantageWind River has over our competition.
Create value propositions for specific customer cases
Actively engage and support interaction withthe ProfessionalServices teams and functionsto develop additional opportunities.
Leverage Edge AI capabilitiesto inform product messaging, identify new use cases, and highlight competitive advantages in real-time, on-device intelligence.
Collaborate with engineering and data science teams totranslate AI and Edge AI capabilities into market-facing benefits, ensuring alignment with customer needs and strategic goals.
ABOUT YOU
Keyskills and competenciesfor succeeding in this role are:
10+ years of experienceinenterprise verticalsin product managementdriving complex technicalsoftwarecustomer engagement.
Knowledge of US Government process, requirements and certifications for software compliancy (STIG/SRG, FedRamp, FIP, etc) and ATO (Authority to Operate).
Experience inEnterpriseis amust.Understanding the enterprise/ITproduct procurement model andtheir business is critical.
Experience withAI/ML technologies, preferably including Edge AI, IoT, or embedded systems, is a strong plus.
Technical experience withsoftwareproducts and platforms forenterprise private cloud use is critical.You must understand private clouduse cases, architectures, feature requirements and customer needsin this enterprise space in order to define & prioritize featuresto bedelivered.Experience across Kubernetes, OpenStack,storage and security are a mustin order to determine best solutions forourcustomers.
