Amergis is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Endorsement to join a supportive school team in the Highland, MI area for the upcoming school year. Position Highlights

? Contract Length: 38 Weeks
? Schedule: Monday - Friday
? Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
? School Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
? Location: Highland, MI Area
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction in a Level 4 ASD classroom
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
Foster positive behavioral and social-emotional development
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, administrators, and families
Track student progress and maintain compliant documentation
Create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
ASD Endorsement (Required)
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for helping students reach their highest potential
