Advertised Salary: Minimum of $1,353 per credit hour; if an advanced degree is held in the primary academic discipline, the minimum rate increases to $1458 per credit hour. Adjunct Faculty
FLSA: Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time Union Group: Ferris Nontenure-Track Faculty Organization (FNTFO) (AFT) Term of Position: As Needed At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause Summary of Position: We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach one course or a variety of courses, in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, and Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction, surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design and construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online; in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and the use of current technology is expected. Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing Required Education: The standard to teach college credit courses at the associate degree level (1xx, 2xx) shall be a bachelor's (or higher) degree in a field or a closely related area. Required Work Experience: The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered qualifying tested experience to teach at the associate's level (1xx, 2xx). The experience considered shall comply with the quality and nature of the tested experience defined above.
