LANDSCAPE LABORER (20) Temporary Full Time Position 10/1/26-12/1/26, Duties may include: Attend morning meetings; load tools, plants, & materials into trucks; dig holes; install plants; mow; trim shrubs; spread mulch; clean up leaves; participate in safety program; use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers, axes; may operate vehicles & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org).
Multiple worksites within / Begin/report to work: 51540 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb, Macomb County, MI 48042. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites.
Additional worksites: (work throughout the following counties/areas): Macomb County, Oakland County, St. Clair County, Wayne County
Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime. ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY 50 POUNDS, SOME OVERTIME AND WEEKENDS REQUIRED. 8 HOUR WORKDAY. EMPLOYER WILL PAY SICK TIME In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.”
Optional, shared housing available to the worker at a weekly housing rate up to $120-$150 dependent on the number of
occupants; if optional housing is agreed upon by the worker, weekly housing rate will be deducted from worker's paycheck.
Workers are responsible for transportation to the designated pick up location in MACOMB, MI , Transportation to and from worksites will be provided from MACOMB, MI 3 MO exp/NO edu. req'd. 40hr/wk. Mon-Fri, 7am-5pm, $ 19.93 TO 32.00 OT $ $29.90 - $48.00 /hr , Single workweek computation, Pd biweekly by check. All payroll deductions taken, required by law. Job order is being placed in connection with future filing for H2B labor certification. Must be eligible within the USA and available entire work period. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsidence (including meals &, to the extent necessary lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or if employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Employer agrees to offer work for at least ¾ of the work days in each 12 week period of total employment period. Daily subsistence will be at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
