Lewis Welding is a small sheet metal fabricator located in the Walker area. With less than 50 people you are not a number, you are part of the team. Even if you have minimal experience or just graduated from a weld program, we have the ability to train you!
You will be responsible for set-up and operation of Mig or Tig Welder to create products meeting customer quality requirements. You must operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements. You must be able to monitor welding performance and utilization.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understands/able to execute welder setup (including but not limited to: changing wire, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials).
- Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances.
- Ability to use calipers, tape measure and protractor.
- General Fabrication experience is a must.
- Operate the following on any given basis: hi-lo/forklift, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools.
- Perform welding operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications.
- Check quality of ALL products produced.
- Notify supervisor of process issues.
- Adheres to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe, organized, efficient work environment.
- Adapt to any other duties that may be assigned.
