Lewis Welding is a small sheet metal fabricator located in the Walker area. With less than 50 people you are not a number, you are part of the team. Experience is not required and training is available.
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for set-up and operation of Press Brakes to create products meeting customer quality requirements. You must operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements. You must monitor machine forming performance and utilization.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Understands machine setup, program retrieval, proper tooling, and materials.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances.
· Ability to use calipers, tape measure and protractor.
· Perform start-up and shut down for Press Brake machines.
· Being able to recognize/diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
· Capable of operating Hi-Lo/forklift, Overhead Cranes, Virtek, Tape Measure, Calipers, and Hand Tools.
· Carry out setup and operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications.
· Check Quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
· Perform operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules.
· Other duties as assigned.
