About the role: CSI is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel to customer sites (50%–70%) to install, commission, and service control panels and automation systems.
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and panel integration
- Conduct system troubleshooting—both hardware and software—on-site and remotely
- Modify and troubleshoot basic Allen-Bradley PLC programs as needed
- Work directly with customers to identify and resolve system issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Document service activities, system updates, and field modifications accurately
- Maintain a professional attitude and communication with customers and team members
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in panel building, electrical systems, or industrial automation
- Proficiency with electrical schematics, control wiring, and panel layout
- Basic experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix / Studio 5000) for programming and troubleshooting
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills—hardware and software
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with others
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%–70% (domestic and/or international)
- Valid driver’s license, eligible to obtain passport. ability to meet travel requirements
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with HMI programming (FactoryTalk, PanelView, etc.)
- Familiarity with VFDs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
- OSHA or electrical safety training
- Experience in system commissioning or field service environments
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
