Need (9) Farmworkers to perform manual labor to establish, maintain, and clear orchards and vineyards, including planting, cultivating, pruning, training, thinning, and harvesting apple, cherry, and grape crops. Duties include planting trees by hand and machine; placing graft unions at proper height; compacting soil; aligning trees; installing and maintaining trellis systems by clipping, tying, and positioning limbs and vines from the ground, ladders up to 16 feet, or motorized platforms; installing and maintaining irrigation systems; applying mulch, fertilizing, weeding, hoeing, and painting trunks. Workers will prune and thin trees and vines, will harvest fruit according to grade, size, and color standards. Workers will install, maintain, and repair trellis and orchard structures and may repair bins using hand and power tools. Workers may operate agricultural equipment, including tractors, forklifts, harvest platforms, and mechanical harvesters, and assist with transporting crops and equipment maintenance; employers will provide training. The work will occur in Grand Traverse Michigan.

Work schedule is generally 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but not required.

Workers will be paid a minimum of $18.50 per hour. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
