Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining and repairing highly automated production equipment in a large, modern manufacturing facility. You will perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment modifications on advanced automation systems, with a strong emphasis on pneumatics, mechanical and electrical components, and basic PLC edits. The position offers multiple shifts, frequent use of laptops and digital communication tools, and close collaboration within a team-oriented environment to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on highly automated production equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues on production machinery and processes.
Execute regular preventive maintenance plans (TPM) to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Provide technical assistance and support to equipment operators and other departments regarding automated systems.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and daily inspections of production equipment during both uptime and downtime.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions on production equipment using appropriate tools and methods.
Perform basic PLC edits to support automation system functionality and improve equipment performance.
Install new automated systems and equipment, including wiring, configuring controllers, and setting up sensors.
Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, completed repairs, equipment issues, and replacement part usage.
Ensure all work complies with established safety protocols and procedures, promoting safe operation of production equipment.
Collaborate closely with team members, sharing information and updates through laptops, text messaging, and group communication tools.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall production performance.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of machine repair experience on industrial equipment.
Strong hands-on experience repairing pneumatic systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automated production equipment.
Ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting and edits.
Solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical principles.
Knowledge of pneumatic and computer control systems used in automated machinery.
Ability to diagnose and resolve simple to complex technical issues within automated systems.
Familiarity with mechanical components such as servo motors, actuators, AC motors, and sensors.
Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a highly automated, technology-driven manufacturing facility.
Comfort using laptops frequently and fluently for maintenance tasks, documentation, and communication.
Ability to communicate effectively with operators, peers, and other departments regarding equipment status and technical issues.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
Experience participating in or supporting continuous improvement and equipment optimization initiatives.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and contribute to a positive, supportive work culture.
Willingness to work across multiple shifts and mandatory every-other-weekend schedules as required by operations.

Work Environment
The role is based in an enormous, highly automated manufacturing facility where you will walk significant distances between buildings and across the plant. The environment is meticulously clean, temperature controlled, and brightly lit, providing a comfortable and modern workspace. One department operates as a dry room, where you will wear specialized garb and a beard net if applicable, reflecting high standards of cleanliness and contamination control. The facility places a strong emphasis on 5S3K principles, promoting organization, efficiency, and safety throughout the workplace. You will frequently use a laptop and digital communication devices for maintenance tasks, documentation, and team messaging. Multiple shifts are available: first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and third shift from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Mandatory work occurs every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday, while overtime during the week is voluntary. The work environment is team-oriented, technologically advanced, and structured to support both productivity and employee comfort.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $77792.00/yr.
The company offers 100% company paid health insurance premiums for full-time employees and their eligible dependents. This means that no funds are deducted from an employees' paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits start the first of the month from when you start. They provide $110 per week for employees to pay for babysitting services through a user-friendly app. Additional Req Information
