MacCurrach Golf Construction, Inc. is seeking to fill TWENTY-FIVE (25) CONSTRUCTION LABORER (SOC CODE 47-2061.00 - CONSTRUCTION LABORERS) temporary, full-time Seasonal positions for October 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027. Worksite: 2829 Travis Pointe Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
Job Duties: Digging trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site. Trenches dug by hand will be around 2’ wide and 4’ deep using shovels and rakes. The trenches will be used for installing drainage pipes. Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites. Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors. Loading and unloading building materials.
Requirements: No education, training or experience required.
Special Requirements: MUST BE 18 years of age or older. Must lift/carry up to 50 lbs., when necessary. Weekend work required, when necessary. Drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers post-hire post-accident at no cost to workers. Hours may include overtime.
Terms and conditions of employment: $24.45 per hour. Overtime available at $36.68 per hour. 35 hours/week, Mon-Friday, 7:00AM-5:30PM Employees will be paid Biweekly on Friday Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. On the job training available.
Other benefits provided and cost: Employer will make all deductions required by law and no others without written consent from worker. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable: Employer will assist in securing board, lodging, or other facilities, arranging optional worker-paid lodging. Employer will deduct $100 per week ($200 per pay period) for cost of rent and utilities if elected. Employer provides six (6) company specific T-shirts at no cost to workers. Additional uniforms are available for purchase by the worker and may be payroll deducted. Such purchases are optional and for the worker’s benefit.
Transportation, Subsistence, and Fees: The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Additional Requirements: In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, protective clothing or other items: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
