HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Software QA Analyst & Tester (Ref# SQAAT71RV).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Under direct supervision, conduct quality assurance (QA) analysis and testing of software applications in diverse business and technical environments. Analyze business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases. Responsible for manual testing, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing. Understand SQL queries to validate data integrity in databases. Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Gather and analyze requirements through discussions with product owners, business analysts, and developers. Review business workflows, system capabilities, and testing requirements to ensure full coverage. Identify potential risks, dependencies, and gaps in requirement documents. Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and system requirements. Ensure comprehensive coverage, including edge cases and negative test cases. Define test data requirements and prepare datasets for testing. Execute manual test cases across various test environments including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Perform backend database validation using SQL queries. Log defects, track them to closure, and perform defect triaging with developers. Support business users during UAT, validating and documenting issues as needed. Conduct limited automation testing. Document test results, maintain test logs, and generate defect reports. Communicate testing progress and results with stakeholders. Prepare test summary reports and recommend improvements. Assist with production validation and post-release testing. Troubleshoot issues reported by users and provide detailed defect analysis. Maintain test artifacts and ensure adherence to quality standards. Use of Tricentis TOSCA, Java, Cucumber, Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, REST API, Jenkins, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, SQL, Postgres, Oracle, and Windows.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Tricentis TOSCA, Java, Cucumber, TestNG, Jenkins, and SQL. 40hrs/week.
