Manufacturer looking for a CNC Machinist . Candidate will be responsible with full setup of CNC lathes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Program in G-code and conversational.
- Perform complete CNC lathe setups.
- Preset cutting tools and assist operators with tool changes.
- Work with Quality department correcting any dimensional issues.
- Make fixture, tooling, and offset adjustments to maintain part specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical issues by observing machine performance and identifying abnormal sounds or behavior.
- Evaluate machines after repair or adjustment to verify performance.
- Communicate clearly with operators, maintenance, and leadership regarding setups, issues, and priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S standards.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machining, machine setup, or CNC maintenance
- Experience with Fanuc controls G-code programming and Mazak conversational programming
- Experience with Mastercam and AutoCAD
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and tooling issues and determine corrective actions
- Able to perform precise fixture and tooling adjustments to maintain size and quality
- Blueprint reading, GD&T and use of precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, gauges.
- Dependable with good attendance
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and proper documentation
- Ability to maintain clean and orderly workspaces per 5S standards
- Must be able to work in the United States.
