HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Software QA Analyst & Tester (Ref# SQAAT630JT).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Under direct supervision, conduct quality assurance (QA) analysis and testing of software applications in diverse business and technical environments. Prepare test cases / test scenarios based on the business Requirements, contributing to the overall enhancements of Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. Identify the client requirements by detailed discussions/meeting with the client, functional users, functional/technical consultants, and product owners to collect requirement specifications and key information. Review system existing functionality and workflow to determine test scenarios for requested changes. Develop test cases in-detail for application software to be performed by the testing team. Execute test plans/scenarios based on the business/client requirements specifications. Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing of the applications. Inspect test results for accuracy and completeness. Ensure the desired quality standards and system functionality are being met. Perform retesting and regression testing activities on defect fixes and newly introduced change requests / enhancements. Report and tract the defects using bug reporting tool JIRA. Use JIRA and Azure DevOps for updating the status of all test cases executed during testing process. Prepare test reports and keep track of defects using JIRA. Prepare functionality related documents. Involved in all business and Sprint discussion meetings for the planned deliverables and attend daily stand-up meetings with the QA team. Check that the entries in database tables are updated with correct values by executing SQL queries. Use of Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), JIRA, SoapUI, SQL, and Windows.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Test Engineer or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Guidewire, JIRA, SoapUI, and SQL. 40hrs/week.
