- Title: Pharmacy Technician
- Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid – Onsite visit up to 1 day per week)
Duration: 6 Months
- Shift: 8am-5pm EST
- Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 (Hourly)
Job Summary
Seeking a Pharmacy Technician with at least 2 years of retail pharmacy experience to support pharmacists and physicians with Medicare Part D and Commercial/specialty pharmacy benefit analysis, drug coverage inquiries, and prior authorization support. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, pharmacy claims processing experience, and knowledge of prescription medications and therapeutic drug classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Medicare Part D and Commercial pharmacy benefit reviews
- Research drug coverage and formulary inquiries
- Support prior authorization processes
- Review pharmacy claims and benefit information
- Provide customer service and support to healthcare providers and members
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology
- Pharmacy claims adjudication/claims processing experience
- Understanding of prescription drug names and basic therapeutic drug classes
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB/CPhT)
