Are you our Machinist - CNC Float?
This role reports directly to the Machine Shop Manager at our Atlas Copco-Grayling, MI facility. You will have the opportunity to assist with various CNC Machine shop department tasks and learn about the overall production process - all while learning the trade!
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Run various machine shop grinders/sanders to debur or prep machined parts
- Complete shop clean-up duties; floor, emptying of debris bins, lubricant changes, etc.
- Assist a CNC Machinist with part change-outs
- Receive mentee guidance from an experienced CNC Machinist to begin to learn set-up parameters, do’s and don’ts of milling, etc.
- Learn about Shop Safety Best Practices and Procedures
- Learn to read blueprints and quality inspect parts
- Move product within and across buildings
- Other duties as assigned to help the Machining department with tasks, as well as facilitate learning
- Schedule: Due to current workload, work schedule expectations are Monday through Friday (some Saturdays) – 45-55 hours per week. This is subject to change at any time and at manager discretion.
