Oversee and manage the company's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure across multiple hotel locations. Manage network administration, databases, cybersecurity, PMS oversight, and IT vendors. Install and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and access points. Troubleshoot guest Wi-Fi connectivity and low bandwidth issues. Manage Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto firewalls. Manage 100+ IT assets and oversee IT infrastructure upgrades, including Windows, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V. Apply NIST Cybersecurity Framework for data protection. Perform monthly security audits. Implement and maintain IT security protocols to protect sensitive hotel data, including guest information, payment details, and company files. Ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements for credit card processing. Monitor firewall logs and system security alerts daily for potential breaches. Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan to quickly restore hotel IT services in case of data loss or system failure. Maintain and administer Oracle Opera Database Server for hotel operations. Generate customized reports using Oracle Report Developer (RDF & REP) at least twice per month. Design and support Structured Query Language (SQL) Server-based interfaces for reservations, inventory, and guest-related data. Plan and execute at least 3 major IT projects annually, including system upgrades and new installations. Design and set up network infrastructure for new hotel properties. Maintain detailed project timelines, vendor coordination records, and system change logs. Develop review management software to improve hotel reviews. Administer the Best Western Hotel PMS, including check-in/check-out, housekeeping, and night auditing functions. Regularly update PMS, POS, and critical systems to maintain security. Upgrade and maintain e-payment gateways and transaction security software. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Universal Transaction Gateway (UTG) for secure guest transactions. Provide technical support for Best Western Hotel's loyalty programs and integrate PMS with third-party applications, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and mobile apps. Coordinate with at least 3 IT vendors for hardware, networking, and software support. Negotiate with third-party vendors to obtain the highest level of service for the organization’s technology. Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Ensure vendor compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for uptime and IT service delivery. Provide on-call technical support as needed, including outside business hours, to at least 50 hotel staff members in resolving IT-related issues. Diagnose and resolve technical problems (e.g., server crashes, network downtimes, software glitches). Provide support on Remote Desktop & IT Ticketing Systems utilizing ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Freshdesk. Provide quarterly IT training sessions for hotel staff on system updates, cybersecurity, and software usage. Develop and maintain at least 10 training guides or technical documentation files on PMS and POS to ensure hotel staff are up to date with procedures and security protocols. Communicate technical issues to non-technical team members in a clear and concise manner. Provide IT performance and security reports to hotel management. Provide recommendations for improving system efficiency, performance, and guest experience through technological solutions. Utilize AI-driven analytics for guest experience optimization.
Travel at least 2 times per month to hotel locations in Michigan (Bad Axe, Traverse City, Auburn Hills), Montana (Miles City), or Texas (Sulphur Springs) and possible unanticipated hotel sites within the United States. Overnight stays may be required for 2-3 days per visit.
