Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Final Assembly Tooling
Location Address: Dearborn, MI
Employment: Self-represented. USC or GC W2 employment.
Position Description:
- Specialize in and deliver Final Assembly Tooling to GVOSS intent. (Global Vehicle Operations Standard Specifications)
- Provide a consistent level of proficiency required to implement Engineering standards, lessons learned, employee training, and implement GVOSS.
- Foster/Mentor FAE Engineers and tooling integrators through Tool Design to ensure Production Tooling meets GVOSS intent and is appropriate for the application.
- Maintain process and launch expertise in tooling and process development.
Skills Required:
- Tool design, Tooling, Tool modifications
Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree – Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- 1 or more years of Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- 5 Years' experience with GVOSS, tooling, processes, and facilities
Experience Preferred:
- 10 Years experience with GVOSS, tooling, processes, and facilities
Program Management skills
- Solid background with virtual manufacturing tools
- Final tool design and delivery experience
- Familiar with FAE processes, tooling, and joining equipment
- Excellent working relationship with Final Assembly Engineering Integrators
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.)
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
