Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Driver/Material Handler, CDL required, to join our team in a growing, fast-paced concrete company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate purchasing, handling and delivery of materials and products within the shop and job sites. This role requires a valid state driver license, physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate various material handling equipment, including a skid steer, to move products safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilize office technology to track inventory levels and manage stock accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety guidelines to minimize risk of injury.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area to promote an efficient work environment.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet production goals.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to shop equipment operation.
- Experience operating skid steer, forklift preferred.
- Commercial Driver License required, but may be sponsored by RLE Concrete for the right candidate willing to contract to at least 2 years of employment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
- Previous experience working in construction or concrete environment is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in handling materials, organization and time management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
