Kotobukiya Treves North America Inc seeks a Lead Engineer to develop strong technical intimacy with Customer’s RFQ stakeholders and promote Trèves technical solutions. Drive RFQ technical activities and provide technical deliverables. Provide the RFQ team with Official Customer technical requirements and any other underlying technical requirements. Provide the product design based on RFQ targets agreed to in Go/No Go committee and RFQ kick off. Determine necessary validations to be performed to gain agreement from the customer (CAD, CAE, prototypes and mock-ups). Negotiate product specifications and get formal approval from the customer. Drive product definition, fulfilling group design and process standards. Assist with technical questions and maintain a close-working relationship with product and process engineering. Support the construction of RFQ technical files. Ensure that official and underlying technical requirements are collected and transmitted clearly to the RFQ team. Develop and validate ordered products.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained, employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Applicants must also have
demonstrated experience in the following: Technical data creation (Product definition, Bill of Materials, Process layouts or Specifications); Acoustical analysis and understanding of material impacts; Materials Knowledge - Fibers (natural and synthetic), Films, Polymers, Polyurethanes and Structural Materials; Manufacturing processes related to heating, forming, assembly, cutting, bonding/gluing, carding/needle punching/airlay; FMEA Analysis; Automotive material and product specifications and associated test procedures; and Software (Teamcenter, Office tools and SAP).
